On this page

Every project has the same tasks shown in different ways. Use the tabs at the top: Board, List, Calendar, Summary and Docs. Timeline is coming soon.

The board

The Board shows one column per status, like a kanban board.

  • Add task at the bottom of a column: write the title and press Enter.

  • Drag a card to another column or another place in the same column. It saves right away.

  • Changes from your team show up live, without reloading.

  • A card shows its assignee, due date, priority, labels, subtasks and comments. A lock means it's blocked by another task, and a loop means it repeats.

You can also move cards with the keyboard: focus a card, press Space to pick it up, move it with the arrow keys and press Space again to drop it. Enter opens it.

The list

The List shows the tasks as a table: title, assignees, status, priority, due date, labels and your custom fields.

  • Tap a column header to sort by it. Tap again to change the direction, and a third time to remove the sorting.

  • Use Group to group by Status or Assignee.

Filters

Tap Filter on the Board, List or Calendar:

  • Assignee: Me, No assignee or anyone in the project.

  • Status, Priority and Label.

  • Overdue only.

  • Your Custom fields.

Within one filter, any option matches. Across filters, all of them must match. Clear filters removes them all.

Filters, sorting and grouping live in the page's link. Switch tabs and they stay. Copy the link and your teammate sees the same filtered view (as long as they can see the project).

Calendar

The Calendar tab shows the tasks with a due date by Month or Week.

  • Drag a task to another day to change its date. If it had a time, the time stays.

  • Tap an empty day to add a task on that date.

  • Tasks without a date are listed apart, with a link to the List.

On a phone, the calendar becomes a list by day.

Summary

The Summary tab shows the project at a glance: progress, overdue tasks, workload by person, tasks completed per week (last 8 weeks) and upcoming due dates (next 14 days). It updates with the same live data as the board.

Shortcuts

  • N opens New task in the project you're viewing.

  • Cmd/Ctrl + K opens the command palette to search tasks, projects and people.
