On this page

When someone opens your zolu.me card, they can save your contact. With Exchange contact, they can also leave theirs. You get their details in Contacts, a follow-up task for tomorrow and a notice in your Inbox, so nobody you meet gets lost.

What your visitors see

  1. At the bottom of your card there's an Exchange contact button.

  2. It opens a short form: Name, Email, Phone, Company (optional) and Note (optional), plus up to 3 questions of your own.

  3. They check I agree to share these details with you and tap Send my details.

  4. They see a thank-you message and a button to save your contact.

If you leave the welcome email on, they also get a "Nice to meet you" email with your contact attached, so they can save you in one tap.

The form appears in your card's language. Spanish visitors on a Spanish card see Intercambiar contacto.

What you get

  • A contact in People → Contacts, with where it came from. If that email or phone was already there, Zolu updates the existing contact instead of creating a duplicate.

  • A task called Follow up with and their name, due tomorrow and assigned to you. It goes to a project called Contacts, which Zolu creates for you if it doesn't exist.

  • A notice in your Inbox: who left their details and the follow-up task.

Turn it on and set it up

Exchange contact is on by default on personal and business cards.

  1. Open your card in Cards and go to the Share tab.

  2. Find Exchange contact.

  3. Use Show "Exchange contact" on your card to turn it on or off.

  4. In Follow-up tasks go to, pick a project, or leave "Contacts" (created automatically).

  5. Optional: Add a question (short text or a list of options), up to 3. Visitors can always skip them.

  6. Optional: turn on Send them a "Nice to meet you" email and write your own message.

Changes save on their own and go live on your card right away.

Good to know

  • Link pages don't have Exchange contact. If your Link page has a newsletter block, visitors can subscribe with their email instead.

  • Visitors need to leave their name and at least an email or a phone number.

  • To protect your card, Zolu limits how many times someone can send the form in an hour.

  • If your workspace has Tasks turned off, the contact is saved without a follow-up task or an Inbox notice.

  • You can turn off the email for new contacts in Settings → Notifications.
